Bokoshe School On-Site Procedures

Bokoshe School On-Site Procedures

COVID classroom procedures will involve having assigned seating and maintaining social distancing.  We recommend that you wear a mask when social distancing is not possible.  Masks can consist of commercially made, medical, homemade, neck gaiters, etc.  It is highly recommended that you have one on your person while in the classroom or in the hallways.  It is better to have one and not need it than need it and not have it.  Should a person not have a mask and wants one, the school will be able to provide one.  If we all behave in a responsible, respectful manner in regard to how COVID affects all of us, we will be successful in creating a positive learning environment for our students!    Remember--- a good dose of common sense goes a long way.

Teachers will be building online lessons for their webpage and/or developing lesson on Google Classroom in addition to their traditional, in person classroom instruction.

We are in a situation where we are facing challenges and doing things that take us out of our comfort zone.  We are not going to be perfect and mistakes will be made.  As we go through this process, there will be adaptations and changes to make the process better.

    • Temperature check before getting on the bus
    • When possible, have windows open to maintain air flow
    • Maintain social distance
    • Assigned seating

    • Social distancing-keep at least one chair between you and schoolmate.
    • Wear a mask if unable to maintain social distance
    • Sanitize or wash hands before and after eating
    • Temperature Check
    • Watch your distance
    • Wash your hands
    • Wear your mask when distancing is not possible.
    • If you are exhibiting symptoms or feel ill, do not come to school.
    • Follow teacher directions in regard to assigned seating, social distancing, and sanitizing as well as other classroom behavior guidelines
    • Doors will be locked during the school day.  Should you need to enter the building, you will be required to buzz in first at the High School and have your temperature taken and hand sanitizer applied. Please wear a mask.   If you are picking up your student, please wait outside while they are being paged to the front door of the High School
    • If your child is exhibiting symptoms or has a fever, please do not send them to school.  They will be able to access their lesson on their teacher’s page on the school website or through Google Classroom.  Turning in assignments during the time they are away from school ensures that they are counted present.
    • Parents of young students, in the event that we have to shut down school for a time, please have a plan for daycare for your younger children.
    • Virtual/online students may not participate in extra-curricular activities.
